Day 2 of #HackUpstate: The Last Push with No Sleep

We hoped to post more steps along the way during our hackathon, but with only 24hrs, we didn't have enough time to write continuous posts. Here is a quick recap of where we are at.

We have about 3 hours left, and we're in pretty good shape. We still have a lot of spit and polish to add to the app, but the MVP features are all built.

Since we have limited time here Mubs and I did some simple wireframing on paper to solidfy the flow of the application.
As Mubs began coding the project using the Laravel ( PHP framework, I started working on the marketing site design.

We worked pretty steadily from 12pm yesterday until about 4am this morning with some short breaks for food and recharging. Continuing after a nap, we got going again around 7am. Mubs only took a 45min nap! He's seriously a machine.

For the final hours of Hack Upstate IV, Mubs is doing more testing on the app and integrating the design, while I'm wrapping up the branding and a final UI pass.

We have a hard stop for the hackathon at 12pm but we’re in pretty good shape to be able to do a demonstration to the attendees, before putting the finishing touches on for a more public launch.

Stay tuned!

Love the idea, I've already refrain to tweet at someone because of timezone issues :)

One recommendation: to be really efficient, a tweet containing a buffer link should not be considered as the mark that the user is up.

Yup, we've thought about that @oelmekki and totally agree. I think that Mubs actually put that in the MVP.

Hey btw, totally out of the scope of MVP, but you know what would be really cool for later? Integrate that with gmail api to send mail when someone is up.
